Taken from the pages of the venerable PWMU cookbook and the simplest of all Apple Crumble recipes.
Ingredients
Filling
- 6 apples
- ½ cup sugar
- ¼ cup water
Topping
- ½ cup sugar – brown, white, or raw
- ½ cup flour
- ½ cup coconut or muesli
- ¼ cup melted butter
- 1 tsp cinnamon
Method
Peel, core and slice apples. Cook with water and sugar until soft. Place in a greased pie dish, cover with combined topping ingredients. Bake in moderate oven 30 minutes. Other fruit may be used.
